Re: Arrangements for Cindy Nash

Does anyone know why they are only having a graveside service for Cindy? Surely the church would have been available. Maybe it was just her choice. Just wonderin'.

I wonder if the funeral home might have charged to transport her from their facilities over to the church and then more to transport her to the cemetery? Or is the cemetery too far away to make it work having services at the church and then a Committal Service at the cemetery? I would assume that if they had had a service at the church, the church would not charge for their use (since she was a member) and that the pastor might not even charge (we find that happens often. Pastors don't often charge to do services for their own people - only for outsiders).

I hope it wasn't because of a charge for transporting to the church. And I certainly would never charge a member for doing a funeral. I have had some insist on giving me something but I'd usually find some way to give it back. I pray the weather is beautiful Saturday. She deserves that much! I could cry because I'm tied up both Friday and Saturday and can't go. Otherwise I'd be there!
