Re: The ignore option...
If somebody's normal posting style consistently bothers your spirit, I think the ignore feature becomes a good approach to mitigate instigator's influence and other folks who are generally annoying types....and who seem to live online.
With the whole "quoting" loophole and the fact that you have to be logged onto the site to gain the benefit, ignoring is generally an impossible condition (probably a good thing!)
I have three people on ignore (with representation from both extremes of the lib to con spectrum). Since I often do NOT log onto the site when reading, I still get to see their contribution.
btw,
I would probably consider it an honor to be on some folks ignore list!

I guess I am a bad influence. So, are my days numbered here too?

Don't feel so bad. I was banned from one in less than 24hrs and didn't even get to make 1 post! I didn't know my reputation was that bad! LOL

Speaking of EA, it took ME a couple of days and a few posts -and still have no idea what post 'did it'.

Re: The ignore option...
The IGNORE button is on the person's profile whom you wish to ignore, under the USER LISTS menu option as a drop down menu item, beside SEND MESSAGE, underneath their USERNAME near top left.

That's the problem with putting someone on ignore. It messes up the flow of the threads when you're trying to read thru them.

Re: The ignore option...
Thanks for the person who PMed me on how to use the ignore feature..... And I have NO intention to use it on anyone (save someone should start verbally harassing me like a cyber stalker -which no one has ever come close to doing, on this forum or any other). Why should I NOT want to hear what people say or be afraid of it?

Re: The ignore option...
The only person I have on ignore is some guy who poses as a cop and keeps threatening to ban me. I think his name is Adam....no Adnim...no wait! I just found it. His name is Admin.
Man that guy is annoying.
