I used to wear make-up every once in a while when I was into unholy black metal( a long time ago). We didn't wear it to look femanine, that was the
glam-rock boys.

Re: Why do you wear makeup, if you do?

I read through three pages of posts and decided to post this.
For people who preach so much against things I have never in my life seen so many
expensive suits, shoes and purses than I have seen in what is supposed to be holiness circles. The most expensive cars, trips, houses etc. I have seen people three hundred pounds or more get out of cars that cost more than my college education wearing expensive clothes donned with of all things a feather...I say balance is the key.

Good post! And what about the "critical spirit" that many times is much
worse than some things that are preached about.

good preechin'

All on your list are even worse by reason of them coming from bank loans and credit cards. slavery is a black/white issue

Bondage today is described on the credit report. Still a black white issue. It is in black on white bills.
Not a single one of these could have the cousins move in the house and go to the mission field for a year or hang out a month even doing Katrina cleanup.

Re: Why do you wear makeup, if you do?

I wear a little... not a lot, God did give me great skin, and I am thankful...but the first time I wore eye makeup, I had so many people comment about my eyes. I have had many people tell me I look younger, and well...at my age, I like to look a little younger.

I don't wear a lot of makeup, and wear probably even less jewelry...but if I felt like I was bound by any of it, unable to live life without it, it would be gone. I just won't operate that way with anything... there are days that go by where I am busy, I don't even think about it.

I will say that I have never felt more feminine in my life than in the last several years of caring for my hair and appearance. Enhancing what God has given me has made me feel more like a "girly girl"....haven't felt that way since my teens.
