Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Out of the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses?

Okay, sorry and thanks for the clarification. I should have recognized that at the outset.

Just from reading posts here, I took it as a "us" v. "them" statement. But maybe I'm so used to seeing that attitude here, pitting against each other, that I naturally continued to read it in that light.

I believe that whatever view we take on salvation is extremely important to each of us and we can become very passionate when discussing the subject. It's unfortunate when the discussion becomes a name calling, derogatory, and accusatory conversation. It's not productive, in the least.

And why do we keep trying to change each other's views? Just something that occurs in a natural debate I suppose. It just gets very tiresome.

Some forget that we all listen to words, watch actions, and judge within ourselves if a person's view or way holds any merit by these very things!

From what I've understood about AB - this statement might have been intended as a way of saying that he's either recommitted himself to, or that he has simply seen more of the "Apostolic" outpourings in his church and ministry.

He's always exclaiming loudly about his angle on what's "Apostolic" - healings and the outpouring of the Holy Ghost.

To suspect that he this statement follows something else along the lines of of the essential exclusivity of the "Acts 2:38, only - heaven or hell" message doesn't fit the mold of what I've always seen him to be saying.

He's keen on the conversions, baptisms and healings; stuff that makes for good TBN cameos. I'm not saying that's the only reason why he's so keen on the "demonstration of the Spirit" - it's just the category I've come to lump him in. And, he seems happy with that identification.

I obviously could be wrong, and I obviously have no idea what he said to NYLP.

Mr. Anderson, you never did answer that question - How many repented, were baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost in your ministry in May and June? How many this year? Come on now - give us some Apostolic results!
That was when I was asked to leave - when I asked that question - so - you should be a happy little camper sitting up there high in the bleachers.

And I do not appreciate your snide disrespect of me or any ministry. Its people like you that sit around and are critical of ministry while you sit around all day and go fishing years back for post from people and try to tear them down. Really brilliant!

I will continue to preach, pray, prophesy, heal the sick, cast out devils and see the altars filled while you complain and try to keep everyone that is not in your little box from entering your little forum. Why don't you go back to your little AMF box and hate everyone from there!
I never left Apostolic Truth. Since 1982 I have preached the Revelation of Jesus Christ and have always baptized every person in 60 nations I have preached in - In the name of Jesus Christ and seen tens of thousands fillled with the Holy Ghost.
Mr. Anderson - what is your beef with me - put it out here - I want to know what your problem with me is! You have basically called me a liar along with your other little buddy - so - what is the deal? Really - come on and let us all know!
And one more thing - What did you say when you baptized all those new converts in the past few months?
Bishop, I think his problem is that you are having your cake and eating it too. Men like Anderson think if he feels required to do something then bless God so does everyones else. Forget freedom and liberty. Those might be foreign to this guy. Again Bishop, it is great to see you posting again! FYI it is VERY good to have your cake and eat it too.

Friend, I am not UPC I would be considered Strict Holiness by UPC Standards. If you can't even abide by BASIC outward Holiness Standards then why should you expect to be allowed to remain around a group of ministers that are endeavoring with all that they have ,through prayer and fasting to protect the saints from your Anti- Holiness Charismatic Doctrine.

Yisroelm, you'd fit right in at AMF!

Whoa... I missed this one. JN, I'm disappointed with you. Calling AB a "liar" without even bothering to hedge it in any way. And, do you seriously compare him to "Simon the Sorcerer?"

Can AB really do magic tricks that get people healed AND filled with the Holy Ghost? Even Simon failed at that. That's why Simon offered the apostles money!

I don't know what AB said "over there" - but from my own experience, you don't need to say much. I merely pointed out that the "full package Acts 2:38," experience is not attested as being believed by ANYONE for 1,700 years of the 2,000 year church age.

No one. Not one person in all that time.
