You vote in officials who you think have your best interest in mind. While you think that, there are other powers at work. Lobbyists, corporations, and other special interest groups who move the levers. Yet, God is the one who gets the last move. No you said that my opinion doesn't hold weight unless I am the "point man". The "point man" would not engage in this discussion because he would be making himself ready. he would also know that civilians are the ones who decide whether he goes to war. Those civilians are people we elect so in an indirect way we play a role in if/when/where the soldier fights. Ultimately the point man would not engage in this discussion.

Our Founders warned us against entangling alliances, especially with Europeans. We have actually made things worse with our meddling. We helped in the unjust dismantling of Germany after WW1. The global bankers are the ones who coaxed us into that war. So, in a sense, we created Hitler. We then handed half of Europe to Stalin, agreeing with his deporting 6 million Germans from their native homeland in Prussia.

We have good intentions, but history has proven we were suckered.
