Children
I have a son who has left the Lord and needs to come back to more than the place where he left Jesus. More experience and more understanding for my children is my prayer today.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: Children
Trouvere, when I read your request, my heart was touched quietly about my own journey and struggle. God had to let the fruit of my own rebellion to take me to losing almost everything I cherished, almost to the almost loss of my own sanity and life, before I humbled myself and cried out to Him with a heart desperate, and my cry was the greatest cry I could utter, "Lord, help me!" In that moment, when I had nothing left to lose, He gave me a reason to gain, and that reason was Himself. I pray that your son would have a supernatural encounter with his need for Jesus, and in that moment of need, Jesus would reveal Himself greater than ever imaginable to that young man. I also pray the Shalom (completeness, wholeness, health, peace, welfare, safety soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfectness, fullness, rest, harmony, the absence of agitation or discord) of Christ would rest, rule, and abide in your heart as you seek the Lord and continue to walk in His will doing Kingdom work.
