Hello from the Alvear's

Dear precious Homeland supporters:

Another year has raced by and by the time you receive this letter it will be January...Looking back over the past year I can surly say this has been one o four most blessed years on the mission field. Many new churches were built in 2014 all over this vast country.

The work here is divided into sections so each section has their yearly conference. It would be impossible for one person to attend all the conferences however we attended many of them. I can report great growth both spiritually and naturally in the work. I am most amazed at the growth in the state of Pernambuco where we have been working for just a little over a year.

A few things you have helped us to accomplish:

During the year of 2014 the Lord helped us make tremendous progress in the area we are building for Multipurpose use behind the Maceio (northeast Brazil) church. (Projects for our Bible School students we will be bringing in from otter areas, for the street children we are working with, for the general use of the church projects) Our dorms are finally finished and look so nice. The covered buildings we were building to work with the street children are finished. We were able put in 10 showers and 2 more bathrooms also for this purpose. We were able to fence in 2 little areas for the kids to play soccer (where they would be safe).

Other projects were (and some still in progress right now) the new church in Garcia, Mato Grosso, Lagoa da Canoa, (Brother Ryan’s Project) the huge church we are building in the far north of Sao Paulo state in a city called Jales, we just dedicated the church in Fronteiras, Minas Gerias, We are building a huge church also in the city of Sao Joao da Boa Vista, enlarging the church in Franciso Morato in the state of Sao Paulo, in the process of building several churches in the state of Pernambuco.

God helped us to remodel the church in Sao Jose in the state of Sao Paulo and the church in Campo Grande in Mato Grosso.

Another great victory is the new work in the state of Rio de Janeiro.

We have bought chairs for numbers of places and help provide even musical instruments.

We have rented many new buildings in different states for churches and as we enter into 2015 we hope to see many of them become permanent places of worship.

Through the help of many people we were able to help Pastor Arlei buy a little plot of ground to help him become self-supporting in years to come. (Special thanks to the Barkers for helping on this Project)

Many Bibles were bought this past year both for the Indians and for the Brazilian people. The work is growing among so of the most primitive people of Brazil.

We stated working one year ago in the state of Pernambuco and the Lord has blessed us with 8 works in that stat and others that will open soon…from there we are reaching into the state of Paraiba and we are already having services there and praying for the Lord to give us a lot to build a church in that state.

We just opened up new works in the state of Santa Catarina and Parana.

We just visited the little convention in the interior of the stat of Bahia. It was tremendous with over 20 receiving the Holy Ghost. People are begging us to open up new works in several cities in Bahia…Oh, the hunger is great…

So many wonderful things happened in 2014 and we are so grateful for each homeland supporter that has helped make these things and many other things possible…You are so important to the work here and deeply loved by our family. May God bless you with a wonderful new year full of blessings and blessings and blessings!
Monies to help us may be sent to P.O. Box 797, Jonesville, La 71343.

If it is for one of our direct needs please mark it on the check.
