How Did You Sing This Old Hymn?

I was at work, getting ready to leave for home when I was reminded of a song I haven't heard sung in a church service since childhood. I looked it up and was a little disappointed that I didn't find the exact version of the song we sang, but at least I did find the song. I wonder, how did you sing this song?

"Oh He's a wonderful Savior to me, (so wonderful).
Yes He's a wonderful Savior to me, (so wonderful).
Well I was lost in sin,
but Jesus took me in.
He's a wonderful Savior to me!"

Does anyone recognize this hymn?
Did you sing it with these lyrics or with other lyrics?

Very close but this is how we sing/sang it. My wife pops it into our pre-service music once in a while. We sing it Gospel style with a moderate to fast tempo. Don't know what it was originally like.

Re: How Did You Sing This Old Hymn?

I was lost in sin, but Jesus rescued me,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me;
I was bound by fear, but Jesus set me free,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me.

Refrain

For He’s a wonderful Savior to me,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me;
I was lost in sin, but Jesus took me in:
He’s a wonderful Savior to me.

He’s a Friend so true, so patient and so kind,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me;
Everything I need in Him I always find,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me.

Refrain

He is always near to comfort and to cheer,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me;
He forgives my sins, He dries my every tear,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me.

Refrain

Dearer grows the love of Jesus day by day,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me.
Sweeter is His grace while pressing on my way,
He’s a wonderful Savior to me.

Refrain

I love the words to this song, but don't think I know it, which is unusual, because I know or have heard most of the old hymns. Does anyone have a link to the song being sung?

Re: How Did You Sing This Old Hymn?

We sang it a little bit differently, without the verses, just the refrain.

Re: How Did You Sing This Old Hymn?

This is very similar, about the same tempo, that we sang it growing up. Our rhythms were just a little different from these precious people.
