I don't work in a nursing home. I'm just sending care packages to those who are shut-in, and can't get out. Just a little something to brighten their day.

Whatever you can do to encourage those around you who are discouraged or in hardship because of all this, then God bless you

The first stance was no one was going to stop them gathering when they gathered in the building. He stated it was their constitutional right. He caved in a sense he didnt continue his stance. Not saying it's bad to do the parking lot thing.

Re: Tony Spell has church in spite of the ban

Where we are there is a 10 person rule. My immediate family has more than 10 people. So what did we do yesterday? Had regular church is what we did.

There is no pleasing the adversary and no compromising with false doctrines.

We will continue having church as usual, as long as we physically can. If they padlock the church building then we will figure out where to go from there.

Willful negligence. Make the pastor and his deacons legally liable for the deaths that result from ignoring the risks of this pandemic.

Scott,
I’d rather agree with you than to disagree. But could you please explain to me how the pastor and elders could possibly be liable?

Are you talking about making a new law?

We are (presumably) talking about adults here. So if I decide to go to his church, how is he liable for a decision that I made? How are the elders responsible for a decision I made?

Am I not responsible for making my own decisions?

I’m not saying he has done the right thing. Or not. I’m just really trying to figure out how one adult can be held liable for the decision of another adult. Legally. Help me out here!
