AUTHORITY IN THE CHURCH: Lordship
Chain of Command
We must here accentuate the authority that the Lord has placed in the Church.
The scriptures teach the mind of Christ on this matter. Only this way can the
Ministry realize their full potential. “But I would have you know that the head of
every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man…” Did you hear?
The only authority, or “head”, over another man is Christ. The man may be a
believer, non-believer, an atheist, novice, Minister, or whatever. We repeat:
Christ is the head of every man.
The Apostle Paul wrote: “For none of us lives unto himself, and no man dies
unto himself. For whether we live, we live unto the lord; and whether we die, we
die unto the Lord…”. So, whether or not we believe; in eternal life or eternal
death, Jesus Christ is our propitiation or our Judge!
We must be extremely careful. There are men who would usurp the doctrine of
the Lord: to have believers (men) to be subject unto them through a dissimilar
gospel. Modern preachers would make themselves to be the “head” of men
by proxy. They would have the women subject themselves to them (perhaps
through the wives of the Ministry), and therein “take” the authority that belongs
to the husband over his own wife! In this manner, they (the Ministry) would be
the authority (head) of the men. This, of course, does not hinder nor detract
from the importance of the Ministry or our (men's) submission to the authority of
the Word. We are to remain faithful. But the scriptures insist:
“…the head of EVERY man is Christ…the head of the woman is the man...".

Re: AUTHORITY IN THE CHURCH: Lordship
nice. It is hard to overlook that one may be in a loving congregation with a pastor that practices Grace; or a hamstrung congregation with a priest stuck in the OT.

If Christ is your Lord, do you then follow all of His Commands and Instructions?

No. Please confine your remarks to the Forum topic according to the TOS. For instance, refrain from personal references by not presuming to speak for or to represent "we" when you have not been trained, qualified, or commissioned to do so.
Understand? Ready to argue?

As Jesus is your Head, do you follow His Commands, or not?
