My opinion is based on Proverbs 6:16-19 which reads as follows:
16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:
17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,
18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

I have mixed feelings about the Affirmation statement. True, it hurt terribly and ultimately resulted in me losing everything. But without it, I wouldn't be where I am now and I wouldn't trade this for anything.

My only issue with it now are the ministers who yearly sign an oath, swearing to do certain things and know in their heart they'll never do those things.

Do they actually have to do that?

I think it's every two years now.

If this is in regard to LY and forgivness for the situation, LY had indeed forgiven and moved on. I know, I heard him speak of it with my own ears.
He was terribly hurt, but he has told of the occasion of the forgiving process.
It was a beautiful thing to hear.

Once every two years now.

So far, that's been the only accommodation made with Leonard Westberg's "bowel movement" thing.

I told him I was very disturbed by the firing and I asked him straight out, "Why did you fire LY?" and he told me it was because of the sermon and for 'dragging my mother into it" and he was very agitated when he said the latter. I think it was a moment of emotional and unintentional honesty. And certainly deniable since it was just the two of us alone in his office. I'll never forget that moment SP, it crushed me. It was a defining moment in my life. I didn't hear the classroom story until later and it smacked of a damage control cover story for Kool-Aid consumers, which fits the pattern of how things went down too often in those days. Perhaps things have changed and it's not that way any more.
I heard LY tell of the situation. And I am in agreement with what you have posted.
There was never a mention of teaching something he shouldn't have taught.
He was held in high regard as a teacher, it was most definatley over his sermon on grace and liberty.

If LY said something was so, it's so. Also, I can't conceive any scenario whereby he would willing teach doctrines that had been expressly forbidden.

He is and was a man of honor and integrity.

Would you happen to have a transcript of that sermon?
