Simple. A salvific one invloves issues that remit sin.

Re: Fellowship with Other Church Organizations

So, MTD, how does post trib teaching remit sins?

Some teachings are crucial because they deal with remission of sins. Other truths are truths, but do not deal with what remits sins. THAT is why I claim we can be wrong about predictive prophecy concerning tribulation, but still saved so long as we understand truth about remission of sins properly.

Again, if prophetic understanding must be correct or else we are lost, then somehow key
elements of prophetic understanding of the last days actually REMITS SIN!
Maybe you are implying you agree with me, and believe that three levels of maturity mean
God has patience with us and expects us to row in all things, but yet we are saved throughout
the growing process so long as we obeyed Acts 2:38. If so, amen!
Beloved, all prophecies are correct, although our understanding might not be.
And there IS a real danger in not understanding prophecy: it could influence
our faith and eventually lead to wrong doctrine: especially them who are weak
in the faith.
The saints who are in the "growing process" have received the gospel that
saves and, I believe, are less likely to fall into condemnation. I say the gospel
that saves; for the gospel DOES INDEED save us; however, we must understand
that it is sound doctrine that keeps us saved: because it is fully based upon the
gospel that saves!

It becomes the duty of the ministry, then, to establish sound doctrine that is
founded on the words of the apostles and prophets of our Lord Jesus Christ: and
whose intention is unto life with Him.

I never said it remits sin. Your idea is off IMO. There are plenty of things said by Jesus whereby doing them or believing them will send one to Hell. Being called a DECEIVER by God should cause one to fear as in 2 Thess 2:3.

Heresies are listed as well as moral sins as something which keeps people out of the kingdom. Read Gal 5:20.

He's not giving a doctrinal or salvific command.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
"Salvific doctrine/Commandment" means a word pertaining to salvation.

I submit that it is the gospel that does save us; while sound doctrine, on the
other hand, keeps one saved as one obeys.
2 Thes 2:3, directly supports the previous verse, and v.2, is definitely salvific in
nature: it represents a soul who could be lost, who does not heed its warning!
One cannot get much more "salvific" than that.

The problem was teaching that the day of the Lord had already come. The only ones who teach that are full preterists, correct?

2 Thessalonians 2New International Version (NIV)
The Man of Lawlessness
2..Concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our being gathered to him, we ask you, brothers and sisters, 2..not to become easily unsettled or alarmed by the teaching allegedly from us—whether by a prophecy or by word of mouth or by letter—asserting that the day of the Lord has already come.

But that doesn't charge the fact that truth that remits sin is different than truth that doesn't. That doesn't give license to be deceived. The issue is wherher or not one is lost with certain understandings of prophecy that don't have anything to do with remission of sins, when one has the truths for remission of sins down pat.

It matters not what your said. It matters what your beliefs and claims lead to in their full effects.

Re: Fellowship with Other Church Organizations

Just because one's sins have been remitted doesn't mean that person can't be lost. Being overtaken by the works of the flesh will cause one to be lost, unless they repent.

And heresies are a work of the flesh. And Paul specifically said those "do them" will not inherit the kingdom.

How does one "do" heresy? By believing and supporting it.

Re: Fellowship with Other Church Organizations

No one said one whose sins are remitted cannot be lost. That is a given,. Why even mention it? But to equate understanding of prophecy with Acts 2:38 is simply off the chain.

I prefer the KJV: "...the day of the Lord is at hand."

Besides preterists, there are some that believe they will be caught away prior
to the apostasy and the man of sin being revealed. I am fully persuaded that
the those faithful to the gospel that saves and the apostles' doctrine will see
(discern, perceive) the apostasy and the man of sin, and thus be able to make
themselves more receptive to the sound of the trumpet.

How does one become READY?
By receiving the gospel that saves, and obeying sound doctrine.
