Re: The born again experience

Here is kinda how I see it.

We all start under supervision of elders.

We all must eventually become elders and be supervised by God.

I had a few elders over me, but some have flown the coop and some have died.

I have, over the years, stopped being an elder seeker but a God seeker.

I guess I became an elder?

Having the correct tools does NOT make a craftsman: continuous PROPER
USE of the correct tools eventually makes one a craftsman."

I do not believe that a person become and STAY an apprentice; but must learn
under a bonafide journeyman. Most believers have not passed puberty, and it
has served the pastors well. It would do you well to fellowship with men who
also seek, through prayer, to grow in the ways of the Lord. But as I have said,
Trial and Error always works: but it takes far too long to get anywhere.

Re: The born again experience

Trial and error is a result of not having truth teaching elders, in my experience.

They can only get us to a certain point, but begin to hold us back, worrying that we are getting too big for our britches.

I take the approach of getting someone connected to the Vine, and not me or my ministry.

I will not cause them to blossom, but the Vine will.

Too often, man becomes too big for his britches when he believes others
think he is too big for his britches...not because he IS actually too big for
his britches, but because he has started wearing smaller-sized pants!

So, are you fulfilling an an office in the Ministry: or what ministry
do you believe you have?

Teaching the Bible.

I love teaching and always have.

I even love training others to teach it.(I want to see folks be the best they can be for the Lord)

Lately I have been in the reformer side of it.

It is a bit more interesting because of putting our beliefs out to be tested.

So you have no office in the Ministry:

(a) You teach the Bible: like how many books & chapters in it?;
(b) is teaching your vocation? Grammar, Mid, High School...?;
(c) you are a teachers' teacher;
(d) is the gospel the gist of your reformation...?
(e) you are using us as a testing ground for your reformation!

Which gift of the Spirit helps your teaching?

No, I teach the dispensational approach to all of it.

(b) is teaching your vocation? Grammar, Mid, High School...?;

No, it is a gift. I am a contractor by vocation.

(c) you are a teachers' teacher;

Yes, I teach aspiring teachers basic doctrines and techniques. Also sinners or new converts

(d) is the gospel the gist of your reformation...?

Please elaborate.

(e) you are using us as a testing ground for your reformation!

Yes, a forum is a great way. Very informed folks on AFF and CARM.

Not sure what you are specifically wanting to know.

I try to teach with the gifts as needed(per 1 Cor 12) as I speak to students.

I don't want to know: I was asking.

There are teachers in the secular world, and that's OK. However, in the Ministry,
there are offices, and there are men who have been called to fill those offices
in that ONE Ministry. The men who fill those offices are those who were first
"...built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself
being the chief corner stone...".
Today, there are far too many men seeking to
"... sit in Moses' seat..."; or shall I say, try to sit in the place of the apostles and
prophets, either without knowing the foundation, or not having a true calling.

A revelation (of itself) does not constitute a calling: the apostle said, agreeing
with the Prophet Joel, "But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see
visions, and your old men shall dream dreams..."
. Yet these were not called
to fill any office in the Ministry, but called to salvation by the gospel that saves.
A person can believe the gospel, and be saved; but whosoever is called to the
Ministry must KNOW the gospel: for that constitutes the very foundation of
all our preaching and teaching! I dare say no one can fulfill an office without
the calling from the Lord. Even the Apostle Paul stated this in his letter to the
Corinthians: "...I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received...".
In other words, he gave what he had as a Minister. And yes, there are babes in
Christ that can also give within their calling to the faith: but that does not entitle
them to an office in the Ministry. And no one can give what they don't have. Or
as a Brother on this forum once said, "A person can give only as much as he has."

Pray to the Lord, Beloved, that He place you under the wing of one who has been
called to fill an office in the Ministry: and submit to that calling: for it can also
become your calling.
