Harry Van Loon

Looks like he was friends with Frank Ewart and was part of a mission near Azusa Street. He preached for a while in Oakland. He was AG and then was not.

Is there more info about him ? Why was he in Oakland ??

Re: Harry Van Loon

The Oakland campaign was 10 days. September 8 was one of those days. Bro and Sis Garr are in charge after Van Loon left.

Re: Harry Van Loon

Looks like it was Alfred Garr (1874-1944) and Lillian Garr. They were early Pentecostal missionaries in Asia. They were stateside in 1911. So it could be them.

I cannot find other documentation of the campaign in the usual sources. I'm not sure if Garr's biography will mention it.

Carrie Montgomery Judd had a house of healing in Oakland from the 1890's to the present time. They just found out that it was only a healing house for 2 years. Since then, it was a mission school.

This means that Oakland had 2 pentecostal mission schools and San Fransisco had one Bible college.
