Same Sermon Three Times

I heard my husband preach the same sermon three different times yesterday and I survived!! Actually, it was more awesome with each service. He did the second part of a three part series on commitment. Very heavy stuff, but very needed. The one this next week is on living pure, so it should be even more interesting. I think this series has really brought our church to a new level. We had awesome altar services each time; many recommitments and new people coming to the Lord too.

We also baptized two new adults Sunday. One Catholic girl and one guy who has just been a royal heathen, but God has totally turned his life around. So exciting to see the new ones come in!

Ok, first of all, he rarely baptizes anyone. He usually lets some of the other staff members do it because they haven't done nearly as many as him over the years. We use a formula that goes like this....
"Garfield, upon your profession of faith and according to Matthew 28:19 that says, Go ye into all the world, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and as was fulfilled in Acts the second chapter, I now baptize you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ."

Totally scriptural, totally right on!

Thanks, Bro. Scott. Some on here would not agree though.
