Thats what the ones I'm talking about were called. Where people all lived in the same house or building. A Christian "community" which I have come to see as being more the model in the book of Acts, would be simply saints being together in heart and living out their faith with each other.
A community can also include saints all living close to each other geographically. Maybe buying certain acreage and building homes on it together, or perhaps buying a city block where they could all live. Just because they want to be close.
