This horrible experience has left me doubting of ever boarding another boat. I spent a few hundred on rods, reels, and tackle, excitingly preparing for this trip.
Well my chartered boat boarded at 4:30AM, I stored away my gear and started conversations with fellow passengers. Two hours into the trip I became sea sick, my stomach started to turn as I felt an urge to vomit. Finally I sprang to the restroom and emptied my stomach, this was only the beginning of woes.
Long story short, I had vomited six times and felt the seventh coming. Our boat would return home at 4:00PM, and docking at 5:00PM. A deck hand came into the galley and I asked how much more till we return, he responded 2 1/2 hours (it was only 1:30pm). I then went to the restroom, vomited (dry heaving a this time), and fell on my knees and began to weep. I said "God, I can no longer take this, please let's go home."
After five minutes I lifted myself from off my knees, washed my hands and rinsed my mouth. I opened the door and sat again in the galley. As the captain came into the galley to retrieve a soda, I asked again, when are we returning? The captain turned to me and said, " the waters have all of a sudden become violent, we're heading home now!"
Thank you Jesus!
