Our pots hold 155 quarts of soup...and they were full and almost running over....gave it all out and left and still had others in the line when it was gone! We also blessed the children with candy....a wonderful day....
Planning to make a BIG pot of chicken and dumplings for the hungry that come to church tomorrow night...this is a faith ministry....and I promised to bring more soup next Friday to the street children if I can. Oh how I love to feed the hungry....
I grew up very poor and often hungry...I know hunger pains.....

As funds come in I try to buy cooking oils, spices, rice and a few staple items for this purpose and this month I plan to buy at least one more new pot for soup. It takes hours and hours of hard work. Some of the church ladies help me I could not do this much without help of my precious sisters...we really need an industrial stove but they cost around 1000 dollars...so we just use my old stove ...I think next month I may mention this and try to raise funds since we do it so often and plan to do it more and more.
If you could feel the tug of the street children and look into their eyes...the hopeless, the hunger, the abuse, the fright, and listen to harrowing stories they tell, your outlook on life would be changed forever. They did not ask to be born into a world of dire poverty.

Jesus said, “And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward” (Matt 10:42). Someday when you see Christ and receive your reward, you might be pleasantly surprised to hear that, “The King will reply, ‘I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me’ (Matt 25:40).
