Neither do all Muslims. The bible calls for murder as well. So maybe we dont follow the bible like we think we do.

Romans 1:24-32

32
Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Deuteronomy 13:1-5

Jeremiah 48:10

The OT alone is chalk full of commandments to kill those who do various things.

I think the hatred for Muslims is clouding the main point. This is pointless.

You twisted Romans 1:32 in your zeal to try and prove a point. That verse is NOT advocating that a Christian kill someone. In fact, there is not ONE verse in the NT which advocates what you claim.

1) I agree more prayer is needed and beneficial, however, I don't need to study a false religion to know this. My Bible is better than the Quaran.
2) I disagree that just because they pray to their false god 5 times a day it makes them somehow admirable.
3) Using the acronym PBUH for Mohammed is ridiculous. He's a false prophet, deceiver and the founder of a religion who believes, as was mentioned, in pedophilia, brutal murder, and the beating of women.
4) What did you expect out of a thread applauding Islam?

hey, I appologized for hyjacking your thread!

I will say this. I honestly think the corporate require prayer 5 times a day is not a good thing at all.

it bends the will of the people to conform to a pulic show that allows the religious leaders utter control over the people. it is in my mind as pernicious as NOT praying at all.

do I think there is a takeaway from seeing the devotion if muslims in their disipline of prayer? sure. But is it a disipline or is it a requird peer pressure vice that keeps the masses under the thumb of the Theocracy? I think it is the later.

Yes we should pray daily. No, it is not enough to "try to be prayerful" in our minds constantly. That simply is an excuse for not having real communication with God.

You are commenting on something that you don't know jack about. Study the Quran, historical context, and customs of the day and then get back to me about evil islam. Also lets ignore all the OT verses and talk new testament. If being gay is still a sin, then according to bible we should kill them. Same with any other sin. Jews, Arabs, Christians all believe in the same GOD. What they disagree on is who Jesus is.

And you're the scholar? Tell me, what books have you studied, I'd like to check them out. What books have you read on the historical context and customs?

To coin a quote, "you're commenting on something that you [obviously] don't know jack about." If you are seriously claiming that the Bible still advocates that Christians kill nonbelievers and sinners, you need to read the Bible again. Show me one verse in the NT where Jesus [or any apostle] commanded us to kill sinners or nonbelievers. There isn't one.

You reference the OT, but fail to understand the reason and context of Israel's instructions from God. And then you demand I study the historical context and customs of a false religion!?

They don't believe the same God if they don't believe Jesus is God. They believe in A God, but not the true God.

I agree.

The point I was making from the Psalms, is that the psalmist appears to make it clear that he would pray morning, evening, and at noon... three times a day. I don't see this as a legalistic rule. I see it more like a devotional suggestion for the sake of personal spiritual intimacy with God.
