Re: Lost this week Sis Was has passed away

As noted, it is actually quite amazing to me just how much of me was/is her.

She was the positive to my negative. She fought so valiantly and became an advocate for others in the dialysis unit. A few even made it to church, where two were baptised.

My hobbies, she appeciated until I became a pro. Selling a handbuilt bench, from wood I milled for $650. She pushed me and held me back. She taught me patience more than any other person, and she taught me to love and reach out. Even though we got burned by that a few times.

Yes these will be giant holes to fill. Perhaps some day they will be, but it will not be soon.

Will be praying for you Bro., such a hard loss to endure at a time when families get together for the holidays. There is no way one can ever prepare for the loss of a loved one, but the healing is helped by knowing she is with the Lord.

Re: Lost this week Sis Was has passed away

This next week will be difficult.

We picked up her ashes yesterday. It was easier to not think about it before this. But yet there is releif, because she does not have to fight this battle any more.

I have made a ruling that we will change nothing, locations, the house, etc. For 1 year. During this time I will let the Lord lead to whatever the next phase of life will be.

I wish there was a shortcut from grieving but there isn't. However the good news is that the Lord is with you and this is a time when God's Spirit can truly be "the comforter". I am praying for you and all of the family.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Thank you. I think the only way forward is to let it run its course. We will be Ok.
