Can someone explain why the platform is holier than the rest of the church?
Is it because it's raised a few inches, and closer to Heaven?

I am a firm believer in the Old Paths
Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
however, it is the place where the pastors vision is cast from. he ought to have the right to project what he wants to project.
We had a lady that was in the choir. she sang very well and did a lot of specials. her husband was part of the church ministry. in fact he preached some and held a license in the UPCI.
the lady (I use the term loosly) invarribly would show up when she was going to be on the platform wearing revealing stuff. finally she end up doing a special song with her headlights on! the whole church was aghast.
when the pastors wife approached her about it, she was mad and said it was everyone elses fault for letting their minds go to a bad place.
fact is she was lewd. She now attends a baptist church with her former UPCI licensed husband.
you should have platform dress codes and even on some level STANDARDS.
one standard is DONT HAVE YOUR HEADLIGHTS ON!
good grief.

Because the "sacred desk" sits on top of the platform... and cos the platform touches the altars where the sacrifices of repentance are consumed by fire.
IDK, my mind got a visual of this, animated like a Disney movie.

I'm not sure, but I don't think I'm going to like the answer.

Why are the pastor's preferences reserved for only those who grace the Holy Platform?
Why apply the truest measure of what he believes to the the Holy Platform only?
It seems duplicitous and confusing.
Doesn't he love the rest of the congregation?

Were there any Holy Platforms in the early church? Did New Testament Christians have to sign a "leadership code," pledging to abide by the local pastor's rules while on the Holy Platform?

It was mentioned in one of those "letters" that didn't make the cut. I think it was Peter's Epistle to the...
