I think things have gone so far, we're more than circling the drain... this world is in a complete free fall into the depths of inequity.
I do believe we can reach our family, friends, and loved ones with the Gospel and sound teaching. But I don't see how anything can turn the tide now socially. Maybe a collapse of all things cherished like the economy, markets, civil infrastructure, etc.... that might wake people up and cause a turning to God... but it would be insincere for most. Most would only be crying out to God for relief, not out of any real remorse for their sin.
The only thing I can see ending this free fall into iniquity would be the return of Christ and His eternal rule.
