I just say go to church and serve the Lord. My worship leader could fail tomorrow, it would not shake my faith. I am in a relationship with Jesus Christ. These people had a relationship with religion, or perhaps even personal fame.

What a beautiful and thought-provoking thread!
So many worship leaders and musicians have fallen into homosexuality, adultery, and false doctrine. Many people have left the faith over this sort of hypocrisy. It just seems there is no accountability these days.
I think worship leaders should submit themselves to an independent oversight committee that can hold them accountable in all areas - especially finances.

Nah, because then they'd probably just leave. That defeats the whole purpose of trying to keep them. It wouldn't be church without the music.

Surely you jest? Are you saying that some musicians and worship leaders are ego-driven, money-hungry, headline-grabbing hypocrites? That they leave when they don't get their way? That they will take their toys and go home?
I just can't imagine such attitudes in the "music ministry".

I'm kinda low on printer paper right now.
Maybe someone could do the honor of mentioning the initials of most famous Bible college musician that chose another path.
