You are correct. Also the word "which isn't a name" is also found in 2 Peter 1:19

It's not a mistranslation. Just like Esaias posted, it was the first star which appear in the sky at dawn. Therefore it can be translated as the morning star, the star of dawn, and it would still be correct. We have to remember that during the time in which the Bible was written there was no such thing as English as we know it. Let alone Elizabethan English. Therefore all English versions from 1535 to now, would be considered "modern translations."

Interesting topic, not with the intent to derail..
But Wednesday night at our home group meeting, a dad was expressing his study on Satan who was Lucifer, and how he fell from heaven, and the angels stopped singing in heaven now every since Satan got kicked out of heaven, they don’t sing anymore.
I said, where did you get that
He just basically said through studying.
I’ve never studied the topic.

Shags post me of a cell group meeting my friend went to about 14 years ago. The person leading showed the group a video about the protein rapture and the tribulation. After the video he said, “that is how it’s going to happen!”
The people in attendance affirmed.

Seems to me the male child that was born in vs 5, is none other than Jesus Christ. Thereby the following verses would be at the time of his birth from Mary.
Anyway, I could be wrong, please explain your thoughts on these verses.
And more specifically 7-9
