Yeah...like the thugs are going to settle for $50 when they do get much more just pointing it at someone.

Re: Gun Talk/ Gun Show thread.

Just got the email notice that two more AR mags have shipped, along with two for my Ruger SR22.

Re: Gun Talk/ Gun Show thread.

The gun store in Huntsville, AL where I bought my AR has some of the best prices on ammo and actually have it stock. They do have limits on how much you can buy though.

They had PMX Xtac 55grain 5.56 for $12.99 (box of 20).

They also had aluminum 30 round mags $29.95 each or 5 for $100. That five for one hundred is not a bad deal at all for someone who needs to get a few. Six weeks ago nobody had any and stores were selling used ones for $50.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

It is a bit heartening to see that mags at least are becoming more available. Now I can't wait for ammo to start showing up AND to be little more affordable.

I tell ya what, starting several months ago I had the urge to start stocking up on 22 rounds, which seemed stupid even to me since they would NEVER be part of any ban coming from Washington (heavy laughter) so I ended up having a pretty large stockpile of it, and am glad I did because that is the single hardest caliber to come across now around here.

My local Wal Mart has told me ammo comes in usually 8-10 pm. Last night I made a point to be there at 8 pm to do some shopping I had to do. I missed the jackpot by 15 minutes. The guy said they got in a few of the 100 bulk packs of .223 that sells for $34.97 but it came in early. He brought it out at 7:30 pm and it was gone by 7:45 pm. Arghhhh!!!! That is about half the price of anywhere else right now.
