Allies abandoning America, fear Trump
European allies are predictably alarmed by Donald Trump's decision to leak classified information to Russia. Trump's loose lips are endangering the entire planet.
European allies are beginning to distance themselves from America, citing concerns that Donald Trump’s decision to share secret intelligence with Russia undermines their relationship with the United States and makes them less safe.
Trump’s behavior is destabilizing the alliances forged in the fires and aftermath of World War II and the Cold War, introducing a measure of chaos and danger in the world that did not exist before he took over the presidency.
The Associated Press reports that a senior European intelligence official said his country may stop sharing intelligence with America, once it verifies Trump’s breach of trust. Trump’s behavior “could be a risk for our sources,” the official explained.
Without authorization from our ally, Trump revealed information to Russia that would unmask undercover intelligence assets, hurting the ongoing fight against the vicious ISIS terror network. Trump’s loose lips shared this data with senior Russian officials in the Oval Office a day after he fired FBI Director James Comey, head of the agency investigating Russia’s interference in America’s election and its connection to Trump.
The AP also spoke to a German official who is concerned about Trump giving aid and comfort to the west’s enemies.
Burkhard Lischka, who sits on the German parliament’s intelligence oversight committee, said, “If it proves to be true that the American president passed on internal intelligence matters that would be highly worrying.”
He added that if Trump “passes this information to other governments at will, then Trump becomes a security risk for the entire western world.”
Trump has already been damaging America’s relationship with our strongest allies, while talking up international dictators and strongmen. Now with this intelligence leak, he has both aided Russia and ISIS, and is forcing our staunchest allies to turn their backs on us in a manner that will hurt the fight against terrorism.
When former President Barack Obama was sworn into office in 2009, one of his most important tasks was to rebuild the relationships and alliances that had been frayed under President George W. Bush. After eight years of work, America was once again the keystone in a global alliance, able to solicit international support to tackle issues like climate change and terrorism.
But Trump, who seeks to undo the Obama legacy either by malice or incompetence, is ripping that to shreds.

Stop posting subversive lies. Furthermore, who needs these outdated alliances? Our Founders never intended for us to be in such alliances.

Re: Allies abandoning America, fear Trump
It's disappointing. But we all know another Democrat will take office and clean up the mess the GOP made, as always.
But don't think the GOP failed. Their goal, as always, was to raid the public trust and provide massive tax breaks, tax cuts, and tax shelters for their ultra rich constituents. Of course, as always, the average Republican got squat, and the Middle Class once more shoulders the greater portion of our nation's tax burden.
Let's hear it for the GOP!

Not true but you really don't care about truth anyway.
When Bush, GOP, gave a stimulus I got a check in the mail. When OBAMBA gave one the rich got a check in the mail. I got zilch and you got zilch.
So kinda blows your theory out of the water, huh?

Reliving the tax burden isn't about a short lived refund check. That's a bribe.
It's about how the nation's budget is balanced.
If major corporations and the wealthy get massive tax cuts, tax shelters, and tax rebates... they now pay far, far less into the system. The cost of government remains the same, so now the government is in the red. To bring it out of the red, they cut various departments, programs, and services. Once these services are cut, the government is no longer in the red... but it is now balanced on the backs of the working class. And to make matters worse those departments, programs, and services that many of the working class had paid for and were relying upon are now gone. So... the working class now bears the burden of paying for the government... while getting nothing in return. Without the programs the working class paid for and were relying upon, the cost of living is increased and the working class are all the poorer for it.
It's a tax giveaway wherein the budget is balanced on the backs of the working class.
Common sense tells me that if you're making BILLIONS a year and recording record profits... and the working class hasn't seen a wage increase in over 17 years while the cost of living has increased... it isn't the billionaires who economic relief. It's the working class.
While yes, under Obama you and I didn't get a tax refund check. However, essential services and programs that you and I either directly or indirectly benefit from remained funded, and a greater portion of running the government was paid for by those who can afford it without going homeless. In addition, depending on where you fall in the tax brackets, you might have paid less in taxes under Obama than you did under Bush.

Here's a trivia question for you: when was the last time a Democrat POTUS passed a balanced budget?
Hint: NOT obummer! He made a mess and blew up the deficit.
Extra point: How many POTUS' have passed a balanced budget?
