Man vs God

Man vs God

Human beings are defined more by what they do than anything else. You may be a father of 3, retired factory worker, Chevy Driving football fan that's been married 50 years. As humans it's all about what we've done.

God though is not typically defined in the same way. Instead we say he's all knowing, all powerful, that he's love etc. But just like with humans, it's not about the adjectives we use to describe someone. Instead it's about defining God by what he has done. It's those actions by God that reveal to us his character.

God created the world. God destroyed the world. God spared the mankind. God gave the world his only Son. So then we can surely say that God loves us, because every time God went about to destroy mankind or would have been justified in doing so, he found himself loving us enough to spare the world, even to the point of putting his son through the pain and humiliation of the crucifixion to spare us from what would have been a truly awful fate.

So I believe God is love, because of his actions. What do your actions tell me about you?
