Monterrey homestead.

There is a work down here in Monterrey that was started by a group in Texas called Homestead Heritage. They have a work here also and one in Idaho the people affiliated with them told me.

They have over 1000 people in Texas at the congregation there and the work in Idaho is new.

They look Apostolic/ Pentecostal, but they baptize in Yshua name.

Anybody have any dealings with them? Just came across some of their members lately.

I spoke with some my Pastor friends in the states and most have not heard of them, but one did. Did not know much.

I will google them.

Re: Monterrey homestead.

Hey Mont, You might do a search or two on Homestead Heritage here on AFF. There has been repeated discussion concerning them here.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

when you say "look apostolic" do you mean the way Jesus and His men and women disciples looked 2000 years ago? or are you talking about the American clothing styles of the 1030's and 1940's?

No Sam Im referring to what someone else says about looking Apostolic. This measuring stick for "looking Apostolic" would mean the Polygamists look or are Apostolic
