I mostly agreed with your thoughts Jay. I agree that the church has no business trying to be "relevant" with a world full of Satanic corruption and deceit at the most basic levels of everything we do.

As to the exact interpretation of how we must come out of the world, and separate ourselves from it, the most basic premise in scripture fall back on the two commandments given by Jesus... thou shalt love the Lord thy God and love one another. "By our *love* one to another shall all men know that ye are my disciples." When our hearts are right, and in love with the Lord, and for our fellowman, then we will definitely be separated from the world we live in, that is full of hate, misery, and sin.

Our separation from the world will be works of the fruit of the spirit evidenced in our life.

1 Cor. 13 speaks of love, and how even if you give your body to be burned, and have not love, it does not profit. So, we can get all our "works" right, but if our heart is not right, none of it matters.

What the church needs today that is the only relevant way... is a repentant heart that is full of love for Jesus, and for one another. This is the gospel of Jesus. I believe Acts 2:38 is necessary, along with John 13:35 for the true gospel of Jesus.

Re: My Blog.

Kept, I agree with you. Love must always be the motivator of all we do.

In fact, that is what I dealt with a little in my new post. Yes, I posted a new blog within two weeks of the old one!

I have more coming. I need to do some study and prep. before I can release one that I am working on now. However, look for a new post within the next week.

Re: My Blog.

I read your new post Jay. It was spoken from the heart of someone who has been in the presence of the Lord, and with whom the Lord is dealing with to "come up higher."

Far too many, as you mentioned, are only concerned about the material things they think are associated with being a Christian - like the blessings. No one really wants to identify with Jesus in his suffering. Yet, if we don't identify with him in all aspects of the way He set up His kingdom, we will not be part of His eternal kingdom.

The Lord has been dealing with me on the issue of surrender, and maybe soon I'll get around to a thread speaking of what the Lord has been dealing with me about that very issue, which goes hand in hand with the idea you dealt with ... love.

Looking forward to hearing what else the Lord has been teaching you Brother. God Bless!

Re: My Blog.

I now have another new posting on my blog. I will answer any questions only by private message, as I do not wish to commence a rather aggressive argument on this thread.

Re: My Blog.

Again, Jay, I totally agree with your heartfelt writing of how the Lord dealt with your heart.

Indeed, if the Apostle Paul had done today, what he had done 2000 years ago before being blinded on the Damascus road ... can we imagine the kind of treatment he would receive at the hands of our justice sys tem today....

I thought of this song after reading your blog post ... Jesus is the friend of the sinner even such a one as the Boston bomber....

Re: My Blog.

I did it again! I now have a new blog posting up. I will attempt to post something a bit more light-hearted for my next post, but this was what I felt God dealing with me on, so up it went. I hope that this is a help and encouragement to all.

New blog post is up. I know that it has been a while, and for that I apologize. However, inspiration has sprung, and therefore, it has now been recorded. Thank you for continuing to read.
