Big Sis,
I think you are too kind towards me.
Thanks for your graciousness.

Thank you for your response. Fair enough, but your o.p. made it seem that way to me.
To be sure, it was an unwise and perhaps impolitic way for Buchanan to phrase his statement, but IHMO to imply overt racism in that comment is to either assume we can read his thoughts or to just take a particularly opportune moment to play the race card.
Regardless, you have a right to your opinion about it. I understand you have to do what you feel is right. I respect your honesty about your feelings on the matter.

I wholeheartedly disagree with your summation, but appreciate your respectful delivery-- even in the face of my actions that almost appeared disrespectful to some on here.
There isn't anyone on AFF I want to disrespect-- not even TJJJ.
TJJJ I apologize for allowing your jokes to tempt me to disrespect you.

Oh, but the GOP does not have a problem when it comes to matters of race in America....

Anyone can cherry pick quotes from individual GOPers and find racist quotes. That doesn't mean that the whole party or even the majority of the party is represented by those quotes. BO is going to be a one term president and although there will be plenty of claims that racism was the major factor it will be because he embraces failed economic theories and failed liberal ideologies. America is a center-right country. BO is far too liberal for the USA. He got lucky that the economy tanked six weeks before the election. People voted for him out of fear. Herman Cain is a president who would get my strong support. And that's because of where stands on the issues. I love Clarence Thomas. Condalezza Rice. Ken Blackwell. Admiral West. Alan Keyes. Juan Williams. Michael Steele. Armstrong Williams. With the exception of Juan Williams I love them for their conservatism. I love JW b/c of his honesty and journalistic integrity.

Re: "Your Boy"--GOP Does It Again!
Lets just cut to the chase, JD will vote for him because he is black, period, which is a big reason why he got elected in the first place, along with the independents and the ones with white guilt ,as for me, i voted against him for several reasons, no one knew anything about him , he always voted present in the senate for one reason only ,he was covering his tracks ,he was unqualified and throwing hints of socialism that i chose to listen to. And the biggest reason, he was a liberal, socialist Dem.and im a conservative DEM.

You are wrong, as usual.
If I vote for him, it will be out of protest against the party who repeatedly offends me with their race-tinged comments and behaviors.

...and you would support the one who carries loudly the "I'm/We're a victim" mentality. So, the black bretheren metioned in Deacon Blues' post aren't good enough? If the GOP was so race-laced, don't you think they would have the same mentality as you and claim the GOP is filled with race-tinged comments and behaviors?
