Praise report from SRX

The Solid Rock Church started in September of last year with a handful of people, this past Sunday we had approximately 160 to 165 (including approx. 50 children) in church. Thirty-six (36) were first-time adult visitors!

Over this past weekend we had 4 or 5 receive the Holy Ghost, two were healed of sickness, and 2 people were baptized!

The weekend of April 20th there were another 3 filled with the Holy Ghost and one baptized!

We've had Bro. Jason Scisco ministering the past two weekends and he was a great blessing. Also, this past Thursday Bro. Tim Downs flew in for the next three weeks and will be leading in outreach.

Last night we knocked down a wall between the sanctuary and a classroom in order to have more room for seating. SRX right now is in a small building that only can hold between 225 to 250 people. Our 1yr anniversary goal was to have 200, but September is still 4 months away and we're already 75% there!

I'm excited to experience this move of God and can't wait to see more!

I'd say there are maybe 5 families that came from other churches, other than that it's new babes. We don't count transfers as growth.

*UPDATE*

5/01 - During an afternoon outreach a man was baptized and received the Holy Ghost. I wasn't there to witness it, but I saw video someone took of it and wow! The Holy Ghost was all over that man.

I was able to go on outreach from 10pm to midnight. We drove right around the church area speaking with people who were walking around or sitting on sidewalks. God blessed - we baptized a man around 1230am! He didn't receive the Holy Ghost, but said he felt something powerful while he was praying. We spoke with several more people who were really hungry for God and who promised to come out to church.

There'll be more today and the rest of the week!

UPDATE

It continues . . .

Through the past week we tore down a wall to make more room for seating. We also went out each night to do outreach from 9pm - midnight. Saturday we put out 5,000 door hangers and handed out several hundred flyers.

Sunday there were 270 in church, including over 100 first-time guests.

Jeremy Foster (Louisiana) did an incredible job preaching the word. There were 7 baptized and 10 filled with the Holy Ghost!

A man and I met a lady who's an assistant manager of an apartment complex. She used to teach Sunday School long ago. She was excited about the church and personally led us through her complex meeting parents and kids. Over 30 kids and some adults from that complex came to church yesterday!

One lady wasn't contacted by anyone, yet Sunday morning she was taking her garbage out and found a flyer crumpled up on the ground. When she read it, she knew she needed to come and visit. She was so glad she came because God touched her life and she received the Holy Ghost and was baptized in Jesus name!

Three teenage girls that a man and I spoke with late one night on outreach came to church. Two of them were baptized and filled with the Holy Ghost! The other girl came really close, but seemed to be afraid of completely surrendering to God.

God is awesome! And He's just started in Tempe.
