I honestly don't agree much with that Journalist. He is seeing the conflicts after it has already developed. Of course, in this conflict, or any ethnic conflict like that, both sides won't look at the other side as humans, ... they purposely dehumanize the enemy. He then goes misjudging his own people ignoring how exactly that developed some decades ago. Speaking with honesty what you think, doesn't make it correct.

Then, those picking sides, try even to do the same, dehumanizing, and blaming the other side, and vilifing them as much as possible in their hearts.

You don't agree much with Levy? That's interesting. Are you saying you believe that the Palestinians are animals? I'm asking a question, not handing out an accusation. Since you aren't clarifying what you are disagreeing with?

I'm not giving an opinion of what side is right or wrong. I'm just questioning the position of this journalist, as someone that presents himself as siding with the "righteous" side, and failing to point out what it is obviously the same on the other side. As I said in my original comment: both sides won't look at the other side as humans, ... they both purposely dehumanize their enemy. So the guy is accusing Israelis of dehumanizing the Palestinians, but the Palestinians are doing the same. Again, this is not new, and it is a very typical situation in ethnic conflicts out of mutual resentment. It is also the struggle of the conquered.

I don't think this journalist is a hero for standing up and speaking. I just think he is purposely? ignorant.

Where does he present himself as siding with the "righteous" side? This speech was done in 2015, not last month in October. This journalist is an Israeli Jew. Are you saying that he is purposely dehumanizing the Palestinians? Or is he dehumanizing himself and his fellow Israeli Jews? Please forgive me, I'm just trying to understand you. You are causing me to re-watch and listen to this video over and over. Maybe you can spoon feed me on this topic? Since I missing what you are seeing.

Isn’t this journalist criticizing the Israelis for dehumanizing the Palestinians? This is an ongoing conflict, I wasn’t limiting my comments to the recent events. They have been hating each other for a long time, and treating each other like that.

Some are trying to find a “cause” to the recent events. Yes it does have one: wrong is paid with worse wrong. But the first wrong also had a cause, and this cause also had another cause. It is called escalation.

And of course, if the conflict has a militarily stronger side, people have the tendency to side with the weaker side, even if it is just as or more evil.

The journalist wasn't speaking of what has been happening since 0ctober 6th 2023. He was speaking as an Israeli who held certain concepts concerning the occupied territories. He by experiencing what the people in the occupied territories experienced on a day to day basis, found out that his preconceived notions were wrong. The situation wasn't one that they "hated each other for a long time" but that one side was being mistreated and therefore they behave like a people who have been mistreated.

Sorry, it has taken me a while to get back to you.
