Yup. The singing at this funeral was amazing. I don't know Southern gospel groups but two or three of them were particularly amazing.

The harmony on "Mama's Teaching Angels How to Sing" and another one of the songs was particularly good. I am sure I will be able to find out later the names of the various groups and people that sang the songs with the choir.

Does anyone know if they are going to stream an edited version of today's service? I seem to remember someone posting that the family didn't want to stream it live for privacy concerns.

Your further comments only seem to solidify your standing in the class system....

Re: Dottie Rambo's Funeral

Well, I just want to jump in and say when I was a teenager the THANG to do was go to Mortons Gap, KY to South Hopkins High School a couple of times a year and hear The Singing Rambos and The Oak Ridge Boys.

Those were the days of the Big Hair with the long banana curl over the shoulder! In fact, my hubby proposed to me on the way to one of those concerts...March 20, 1972!

She came to Madisonville for the funeral of Rev. James O Russell several years ago and still seemed as down to earth as she was back in the day!
