I just bought my daughter a Nintendo DS for Christmas off Ebay for a terrific price last night. Of course, she is 14 and her games are much different.

Frogger, Mario, Spiro are good ones for your aged children. They should come with a rating though. Look for E, rated for everyone, on the backs of the game packages. Those should be ok.

Hmmmm.. I am thinking.. I know there are a ton of older ones that my kids used to play when they had theirs.. might be able to get them at a used game store.. there was All the different Mario games.. they loved them...Lego has a lot for the boys (I think you have a boy right?) and those my son got a lot of fun out of. My youngest girl loved the kim possible game and lizzie mcguire. And suite life is another one they like a lot...

Here is a page that I just found that has a lot of the games they have always played and love.. might help you some

Ws this a trick question to reveal who plays games or not, LOL!
Just kiddin.
My husband and I, too want a WII my older sons have one, we played when we were there to visit, we got hooked! Its too much fun, those little people players are the cutest, but gotta have lots of room to move around or you bump into people, my sons said they have read where people all over have been badly injured by getting in the way of someone playing.
The price tag is too steep for us., I mean there are tons other things more priority to spend that kind of $$
