So Thankful AFF Was Able to Help

We sent the second check to Mike Nash and he received it yesterday.

I called this morning to speak with him and what a precious man! They are overwhelmed with our gift to them and will be sending a letter of gratitude soon.

I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone that felt in their hearts to give because God was truly in it.

Glad we were able to give them a little sunshine during their loss.

I've been wondering how they are all doing. If we miss Cindy as much as we do around here, I can't imagine how they are feeling I'm glad we could help lighten their load at least a little bit.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: So Thankful AFF Was Able to Help

Sorry I didn't post this sooner...We received a Thank You card from Cindy's family expressing their gratitude and asking us to continue to pray for them.

Quote:
"Thank you all for the joy and friendship that you brought into Cindy's life. Your financial gifts, thoughts, and prayers have been such a blessing to our family. May God bless you all in your lives the way you have ours. Please continue to pray for us as we continue this journey on earth without Cindy."
It was signed by several members of the family.

So glad we could help this family out!
