"Honestly, have you ever been grabbed by the Lord in a way you never thought you would or you could? That’s exactly what I’m testifying to, and I’m not speaking in hyperbole. I’m speaking right from the heart."
God grabbed him, and he was compelled to knock a kid off a skateboard.

And?

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.
Bro Benincasa nailed it. He's bitter. Very bitter.

"Many Christians do not try to understand what was written in a verse in the Bible. Instead they approach the passage to prove what they already believe."
Some questions may not always have answers. Why God allows things to happen I don't even pretend to know why. One thing I have made up my mind about is to trust him. The only way you judge a prophecy is whether it comes true or not. Either way I don't want to let it cause my faith to waver.
Timmy I'll keep you in my prayers and I can understand some of your feelings. I've questioned God many times in my own life, but I believe that one day we will have the answers. Don't let your bad experience cause you to give up on Jesus, but instead just hold on tighter. In the end it will be worth it all.

Thanks, gs. At the moment, I see no reason to hold on, nor to trust Jesus for anything. I am open to suggestions, however. What specific things might I want to trust him for?

Trust in him for who he his and that he loves you. A lot of times all of life's circumstances cause us to question whether there is a God and if there is, how could he love us? I understand that there is more to life than growing old and one day dying, life's never ending. There is a song that goes, "where the soul of man never dies."
I know it is a large element of faith and I can't prove to you anything the Bible says.
Sure there is some evidence, but if a person refuses not believe that is totally up to them. I choose to believe and in many ways God confirms his presence in my life.
