Chronicles of Narnia-C.S. Lewis
So, admittedly I have never been drawn to Lewis much, despite his popularity in the main stream. The popular movie based from his writings came out right before I got in church, and I saw it in the theatre. I remember being able to pick up on the "Christian" symbolism, but that's about all I remember from it. My son and I have a half hour drive back home through the week when I pick him up from school, closest solid Christian school to us. He loves to listen to stories on Audible, and I thought that perhaps Chronicles of Narnia would be a good listen. I knew that Focus on the Family did a dramatized version of it some years ago. So far we have listed to 4 or 5 chapters, and I'm disturbed. I think we are going to find something else to listen to until I look a little deeper into its content. Anyone else familiar with the Chronicles or Lewis in general? I'm surprised that something so filled with magic and sorcery is so popular in Christian circles. Guess that shouldn't be so surprising...
