I hate this topic, but I don't see any way a person can commit suicide and still be saved and go to heaven. Sorry, I just don't believe it.

IMO, Satan's deception to Adam and Eve was that they could be like God. A person who commits suicide takes their life out of God's hands and makes themselves like God, in that they control the ending of their life.

i agree, and feel for them; even while convinced that most depressions are self inflicted--just like sins--and are symptoms that should indicate to a sufferer that a change is needed, not that a suicide is indicated. They walked into that darkness...

I appreciate your tenderness, and I too don't want anyone to be lost. It is not our mercy that is needed for their salvation, though. People should know that according to scripture that they will die lost if they commit suicide. It may not say it plain, "thou shalt not commit suicide", but anyone rightly dividing the Word of God can plainly see that you can't be right with God and commit suicide. If we want to inherit eternal life we must be right by God.

We cant leave the door open for Christians or their relations to commit suicide because they are depressed.

It is hard to imagine that the one who told us not to seek after earthly things would hold it against us if life became so hurtful and disappointing that we lost all desire to live but finally found the courage to take the last step.

I think where a lot of the problem is we hear to much about the successes of a few in comparison to the plights of the masses who have it much worse than us.
