My question is if the "blending" includes the platform and pulpit or if it's just the people in the pews.
If the blending is in the pews, that's great. I agree not everyone will be at the same place in their walk with God. So you may (and should) have recent converts who perhaps aren't fully understanding holiness and dress, etc. This may be nitpicking, but I do not like the "everyone is on their journey to find God" terminology used. I've heard that too much from people who don't believe in the new birth plan of salvation. "Well, everyone is on their own journey to find God." The insinuation is that there are various ways to get to God, not just one, which is against the Bible. Again, I'm probably nitpicking. I'm not meaning to suggest she believes this way.
If the blending includes the platform and pulpit, that would be an issue, IMO. Unfortunately she doesn't clarify the context of what/who is blended in their church. I'm just assuming she's talking about people in the pews.
Re: the "Kanye controversy" and the comment: "We don't get to judge Kanye based on whether we feel like his christianity is valid or not or true or not."
It's pretty simple. If Kanye hasn't experienced the new birth, hasn't repented of his sins, been baptized in Jesus Name and received the HG -- he's not saved, his christianity is not valid. To say we can't say whether he's right or not is not true.
I've seen a few FB posts by A/P music ministers in which they're fawning over Kanye making a "christian" album and having Sunday services, etc. It's great that Kanye is trying to change for the better. I hope he's sincere and God brings him to a full revelation of the oneness of God and new birth salvation. I've also watched some of his Sunday services and it's a mess. Trying to blend holy and profane. Trying to blend club with church. My spirit doesn't agree with it.
I do agree with this comment: "The more relationship with God they get, the more holy they become, the more Christian they become..."

I agree with you 100%.
But to parrot my Brother diakonos, "she is right. But, she’s wrong." Still, she is taking her message to defend her family's position on how they are doing things in Pearland, to APOSTOLICS! Hey, do I agree with their method? I don't know, I'm not there. She said some things you pointed out that made my eyebrow go up, and Sister Benincasa look like she was eating unripe persimmons. Therefore she should of never taken her message to FB to straighten "us" out on any misunderstanding. Because while we think we are saying good justifiable reasons for OUR method, we are only making things worse to the rest of our brethren. She changes her dress to make people comfortable? Sinners don't come around us to be comfortable, they come to hear the things that make them uncomfortable. They hear the Gospel, that is diametrically opposed to their BEHAVIOR. Therefore they conform to "us" not the other way around. You can't win the world with the world, because the world doesn't like you, or the Bible, and it doesn't like the real Jesus Christ.
But, like I said, time proves all things, and when you just have Apostolics move from one part of Texas to another, and call it revival. Then you seem to have to explain yourself to that group. When you are just going to unchurched lost people who wouldn't know an Apostolic from an Aéropostale, you get people who you don't need to make excuses to. You just show them, book, chapter, and verse. Yet, they are going to do things the way they are doing them because they feel it is working for them. Again, time proves all things, so let's see what they do with their time.

Re: Blended Churches - Video on FB
Is that "First Church" in Pearland, TX? Couple decades ago or so they did an Azusa Street play. They've been real big on being a big part of the community. Back then Pearland had like 20,000 people, now it's like 180,000. And everything moved to the west side out by highway 288. Massive growth, it's gone from a mostly farm and ranch town to a mini megalopolis with HUGE numbers of Asians (India, Pakistan, Arabic, as well as east Asians), tons of shopping and new medical facilities, and some of the worst traffic in the Houston metro area.
Back in the day they were a bit on the high brow side (my personal impression) like a lot of churches in that area (of any and all denominational flavours).
Assuming that's Pearland TX and First Church (I always thought the name was a bit over the top, but anyway).
Still can't get why UPC people are so hung up on how everybody looks. I've known conservative pentecostal churches with nowhere near the clothes fixation a lot of UPCers seem to have. Just my opinion.

Re: Blended Churches - Video on FB
my previous church envisioned 5 layers of commitment:
The core: Those who have obeyed the gospel and are faithful in attendance and tithes.
The committed: Those who have obeyed the gospel, are mature members, and are growing.
The congregation: Church members who have obeyed the gospel and are beginning the discipleship process
The crowd: Regular Sunday morning attendees who have not yet obeyed the gospel
The community: Those who attend occasionally, those who are in driving distance of the church.
***********
The goals is to teach discipleship/membership classes to bring people into the Core membership group while making all those who are growing toward maturity feel loved and accepted. basically, standard specifics are not preached/taught outside of discipleship classes.
