The ultra-sound is showing he is 6 lbs. As I wrote in the post to Renda, she is saying that if the pains she is feeling now keep up, she won't be able to endure. Please pray that she won't need a c-section! But, if the baby is healthy, it won't matter one way or the other. Just wish she wouldn't have to have it. The way this pregnancy has been going, I wouldn't say this to her, but I do fear she will have to have one.

Do you think she'll decide to have an epidural?

Yes, I'm very sure she will. Will that be a concern with him coming early?

I wouldn't think so. And if it helps her manage the pain, that will be a positive thing. She won't be so exhausted when it's time to deliver.

May the Lord God direct this birth, through the hands of
those attending your daugher, in Jesus Name! May He give
wisdom in abundance! He is a Great Deliverer in more ways
than one!

Hugs,

That's what the doctor was saying, but I just wanted to hear it again. LOL!

Thanks for all of the encouragement. I hate being in the hospital. It is so cold. I felt if I stayed much longer, I would become ill myself. I hate being cold. When my husband walked in, yesterday, I was so happy because I knew I could come home for a while.

It's also been raining here, starting with hurricane Alex dumping rain on us and then a low pressure system. Now we are inundated with mosquitoes. Just miserable weather on top of it.

That's my whiney post for the day. LOL! I'm going to log out. I've been on the phone most of the morning - repeating myself - over and over and over. LOL! I'm sick of hearing myself talk. LOL!

Re: PRAY for PO's Daughter and Grandson

Oh I forgot to share this scary experience. The baby's heart monitor was showing a steady rate of 134-174. It shot up to 212, down to 154, 43, and then flatlined. It kept doing that over and over. My daughter said, "Mother what is the matter. All I have to do is look at you and I know something is wrong." I got up to get a nurse. The nurse came through the door and we almost collided. She ran in to see what was going on. My daughter had shifted and moved the thingy that they tape to her stomach, which monitors her contractions and the baby's movements. That was why it was going all over the place. Anyway, that was scary. This is all so very stressful!!!

I'm sorry that you're not getting the home birth experience that she wanted, but I'm also very, very thankful for modern medical technology when it's needed! At the end of the day, it's the baby himself that matters, not whether or not everything was hitch-free.

Amen!

That is what her mid-wife said. She told her, "It's disappointing, but this is what we are going to do now. We can be grateful that you are able to get the attention that you need."

The phones have been ringing and ringing. I feel like I'm hearing my house and cell phone still ringing and they are not. I think I'm going insane!
