Valentine el Cheapo?

We are really watching our pennies this year. Valentine's Day is around the corner. I'm looking for ideas to make V-Day special, but not expensive. Ideas anyone?

Well, one year we picked out Valentine cards at the grocery store, gave our choice to each other, read them, thanked each other, put them back on the shelf and knew we had saved some money. Then be bought a candy bar.

How's that idea?

That's what we thought. Besides, one year I spelled his name wrong. He was pretty shocked and commented he had never forgotten how to spell my name.

I'm feeling very romantic, can you tell?

.... or how about the year that I found V-candy left over from last year, and regifted... no comments on the slightly chewy, stale chocolate

As long as nothing is crawling out of them, it's acceptable.

One thing my husband has done for me is made a coupon book. "Good for one massage" "Good for one movie at home your pick" etc.
