Power trippers are highly annoyed by people who aren't concerned about their power tripping. Highly.

1. Document
2. don't give him anything to use against you
3. be patient.

Time is usually the great equalizer. Sometimes a new boss thinks he has to assert himself. over time he will chill out as he becomes more comfortable in the role.

If the boss is really a problem, they are likely over their head and time will expose them.

but document everything because the day may come where you have to defend or explain.
