Where? We must not be reading the same bibles.

To make his point, that there are no divisions in the body. The Corinthians were not to prefer one Apostle or teacher over the other.

English Standard Version

I Corinthians 1

10) I appeal to you, brothers, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be united in the same mind and the same judgment.

11) For it has been reported to me by Chloe’s people that there is quarreling among you, my brothers.

12) What I mean is that each one of you says, “I follow Paul,” or “I follow Apollos,” or “I follow Cephas,” or “I follow Christ.”

13) Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were you baptized in the name of Paul?

14) I thank God that I baptized none of you except Crispus and Gaius,

15) so that no one may say that you were baptized in my name.

16) (I did baptize also the household of Stephanas. Beyond that, I do not know whether I baptized anyone else.)

17) For Christ did not send me to baptize but to preach the gospel, and not with words of eloquent wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

18) For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.

...

21) Since God in his wisdom saw to it that the world would never know him through human wisdom, he has used our foolish preaching to save those who believe.

22) For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom,

23) but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,

24) but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

Re: More over-reacting to the "Light Doctrine"

This is an Apostolic Forum. I am not Apostolic. I need to "stahp" and move on.

Like a criminal guilty on all counts
Rattling his cage with every ounce
Of resolve he never had
I was convicted

Then I took the pardon and the walls came down
But I must like it here 'cause I keep hanging around
For a better suit and an escort and a winning lottery ticket

First we waited for miracles
Then we needed a sign
Now we're here to confess
We've wasted the time

Just a point of correction I did not post the original All Trinitarian Are Lost thread. I did repost it on later occasions. Not reluctant just making it clear.

Re: More over-reacting to the "Light Doctrine"

My understanding of the "light doctrine".

14For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: 15Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another 16In the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to my gospel. Romans 1:14-16

God will judge the secrets (motives) of mens hearts by Jesus Christ on the day of judgement.

Jesus through the idea of the Kingdom of darkness being unified and not fighting against each other makes a plain fact. You cannot win unless you are unified and solidified. Brother Michael, you are on Paltalk, AFF, and other social medias. You are there working on "Christians" not people who never heard of Jesus Christ, or your Hebrew rendition of YAH or Yashua, Yeshua, or whatever Hebrew guess word you may use
Really? Actually I have been witnessing and preaching to the lost on the streets for some 40 years. But that aside I have no trouble believing in the Biblical "light" doctrine. All it means to me is God will judge the secrets (motives) of all men by Jesus Christ. Romans 2:16

My job is to preach the full gospel as you have stated as I see it in the scriptures. The secrets of MY HEART will also be judged by Jesus Christ. Thats why I do what I do.

Thank you my brother.

who is teaching New Light doctrine? So many, that it surprises even me who believes it. I had a very close person to me who told me just this morning that you are accountable for all the truth you are presented. I said that's great, if you have a Bible from Genesis to Revelation then you are accountable.

Again thank you.

Is in the "Name of Jesus" alright?

Some say in the "Name of Jesus Christ"-- this must be the more excellent way...

Some say in the, "Name of the Lord Jesus Christ"-- could this be the MOST excellent way?

Acts 2:38 doesn't literally use the Name or word, "Lord". Uh-oh...

We need to make sure we get it right-- it's not God's fault if you go to hell because you were baptized in the, "Name of the Lord Jesus Christ." Your baptizer should not have added to the Bible!

Next time, tell him to do it right!
As I stated in another thread, neither Acts 2:38 or Matthew 28:19 are teaching baptismal formulas/baptismal invocations. Christ was simply saying that since all the authority of God was now being mediated through him, we are now to go baptize per his authority, for his name's sake, or "in his name". He was not establishing the Catholic teaching of sacerdotal absolution in baptism. God's forgiveness of a repentant sinner is not dependent on what I say over them when I baptize them. As for me, I will indeed declare the name of Jesus when I baptize someone, but not as their means of forgiveness.

As for the "light doctrine", since nobody much is teaching this, it is obviously a red herring. Somebody, or a group of somebody's obviously feels insecure about something. They always go on these witch hunts when they know they are losing their grip on power. The UPCI isolation will end one way or another. They will not be able to stop it.

Maybe the UPCI should do something about the nepotism that saturates their ranks.
