The presence of the Lord

How do you describe the "presence of the Lord" to a non believer?

True, so how do you describe the presence of God? How do you know it is God?

"Deep calleth unto deep," this is water to swim in! I think maybe it's kinda like the blind men describing the elephant. Depends on what part of the elephant you've got a hold of.

My thoughts would be that much of it would depend on each individual and is governed by their own make up, sentiments, responses, emotions and ways of looking at things. What one person would say was the presence of God the next person might not be affected at all! I don't know? Does any of this make sense? It's a personal thing, isn't it?

The presence of the Lord is something we feel. And I feel the His presence differently at different times. The thing I like about the Lord is He let's you feel his presence. It's not something you can feel at will. And it's something that I never get tired of. I want to be in his presence more and more. But I just can't seem to explain it.

How do you know the presence of God from the presence of an evil spirit?

Oh you know, the fear is different.

I sense the enemy differently. Not always or even rarely with fear.

Re: The presence of the Lord

This is a very legitimate question.
How do you know what your feeling is the Holy Ghost or just yourself elevated to some high level of emotion.
Or are you sensing the presence of the Lord or is it the music and singing in the band at church. Really how do you know???
Are we suppose to feel anything at all/

To answer these types of questions one needs to go to the scripture and verify what saith the word!
