Typical Americans, want everything for free, like it does not cost anyone anything.
I would be under the assumption that they would have it there permanently for two reason.
1) Central location
2) Long term contract with the Arena, hotels and such.

Slandering time?
The mocker seeks wisdom and finds none, but knowledge comes easily to the discerning. - Proverbs 14:6
Nor, I think that was spoof on the bribing that happens to get the Olympics to one's city!
Not so much DKB slipping into and alley with suitcase, or in a cigar smoke filled room cutting a deal with the board members.
BUT I COULD BE WRONG!!

Articles on such subjects as "The New Birth," will be accepted, whether they teach that the new birth takes place before baptism in water and Spirit, or that the new birth consists of baptism of water and Spirit. - THE PENTECOSTAL HERALD Dec. 1945
"It is doubtful if any Trinitarian Pentecostals have ever professed to believe in three gods, and Oneness Pentecostals should not claim that they do." - Daniel Segraves
I am really surprised they didn't move the GC to being biennial. With the high cost of travel these days that would seem to make sense.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"
When did you return? Perhaps it is a bit like breaking up with an old girlfriend and meeting years later and wondering "why did we ever break up????", then after a few weeks or months remembering exactly why you did.
Contrary to the common belief of some, there are alot of people that are very happy in the UPCI. Some of us, like myself, have never left and many others have left only to return later.

I am not UPCI but admire them very much...some things might not be like some want it to be but my goodness look what they are doing for the kingdom...If you don't like it get out...Well...that is my opinion....No use in running them down...

Folks, it's all about the money, period, bottom line. The UPCI was over 14 million dollars in debt until they finally slaughtered the "Sacred Cow", Harvestime. As of April, 2011, they are still over 10 million in the Red. Giving is down, attendence is down, and people in this Country are financially strapped. No sense in candy-coating it, the CASH is tight!

"Harvestime"? They couldn't even afford a "T"?
