I'm guessing there's more reason than that. I mostly lurk, partially due to some stuff going on personally, partially due to just not agreeing quite as often as I used to.

How do you dress separately from other men in the world?

And don't say that people can pick you out on the beach, as one man once did...

Can you honestly say that when you are walking on the street without your wife or daughter with you that you can be picked out as being Apostolic (unless you have a sign on your back)?

I'm seriously asking, but I can't get a man to seriously and honestly answer.
Jesus did not wear a "woman's garment!

There is. I just quoted an example.

I would have to say "ditto" to all your remarks.

A scripture comes to mind.... you would use it to chastise moderates and never think it could speaking into your heart.

Eph. 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being aliented from God from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindnes of their heart.

....ok you're right...I've pulled it out of it's context. Sorry!

And also people are leaving Biblical truth to walk after their own traditions and so called "holiness" standards which have nothing to do with salvation.

Ever learning, but never coming to the knowledge of the truth.

Absolutley true Michael.

Blind leaders of the blind...imposing antiquated customs and the traditions of men.

Paul fought against those who did such even back in the early years of the church.

Ultra Conservatives just can not understand how a moderate or liberal may think they are as wrong as what they think the liberals are wrong.

ALL this standards stuff...long sleeves, no facial hair are not even a blip on God's radar screen of things He's concerned about.

It is sad to me to see people caught up in this trap of "competitive hloiness"

Totally agree, FAL.

I like the term "competitive holiness". How many of us have been guilty of that in our day? I know I have........

Re: Do YOU really believe what you were taught?

One of the first things I was taught was

"Jesus loves the little children..."

I still believe that.
