well, that is your opinion, complete with belittling, i note. I am thankful that i don't really have an opinion in the matter; but i would say that it is pretty brave to do what he, and a growing number of other young Israelites are doing, especially in such a charged climate. Could you stand on your convictions, knowing you would serve jail time for it?

I don't know if he is Jewish or not, which would also provide context here; but judging him is just dooming yourself, imo.

Does the Israeli army allow for non-combatant service? If someone's conscience prevents them from taking another life, then they should not allow themselves to be put in that position.
