We had a former NBer pray through tonight to a refilling of the Holy Ghost. It's been years since he spoke in tongues and he's been dry for a long time. He really got a great refilling tonight. Just awesome. And his wife was slain out last night and slightly drunk leaving the church. Hehe. She's also from N.B.

Oh yes -- someone asked about the couple moving out here to B.C. from N.B.

Guess it's okay to say now that Kenny and Willa Stoddard have been voted into the church in Nanaimo (on Vancouver Island)! We're looking forward to having fellowship with them and they're excited about coming!

Not to be a whiner but I really hate this thread in this section. It get very little traffic and is to easily ignored.

I vote for equal treatment from our american friends.

I feel the same way. I'm sure many Canadian friends have yet to find us. Not Fair! Not fair! I say, please let us into the Fellowship Hall

It's not whining to state your opinion.

You're welcome! And I know we'll have good fellowship. I'm so happy they're coming out. It's a big move for them and I keep asking Bro. S. if Willa is okay with the move and he says she's excited so that's good seein's it's so far from home.

Vancouver Island is so beautiful!

Listened to an intersting tape today of one of our resident canadian posters preached way back in 1992.Preached on "Don't Let The Devil Steal From You" song two songs I never heard before. One was along the lines was "I didn't know what happy was till I met Jesus" and the other a more slower song about how God's eyes are always upon us watching each step we take."
Anyone wanna guess who it was?

I used to think I was happy,
Thought I had such joy and bliss
But then Jesus came and took my sins all away
And now I really know what true joy is.

Because I found Jesus, He's the Great Joy Giver!
You may think that you're happy but I know that you'll never
Find joy like the joy that Jesus gives when He comes into your life to live.
He's got rivers of blessing that never run dry
Life eternal waiting in the sky
You may search everywhere but nothing compares
To the joy that Jesus gives.

------------------

Sometimes it seems God's a million miles away
Too busy for a creature such as I
And then I think how he sees each sparrow fall
I call on Him and find that He is nigh!

The eyes of Jesus fall upon each footstep that I take
His ears are always open when I call
His hand is always there to help me lift my heavy load
His heart is broken every time I stray
