Windows 10 for free?
I keep getting a notification on my recently purchased computer that has Windows 8, that I can reserve a Windows 10 free upgrade. Does anyone know if this is a legitimate offer from Windows? Just wondering if I should fool with it or not.

I believe it is. I've received the same notification from Windows and have read articles that if you've recently purchased a PC with Windows 8 you may be eligible for a free upgrade.

Microsoft is offering Windows 10 for free to Windows 7 and Windows 8 and 8.1 users for one year. The reason is that Windows 8 & 8.1 are just horrible and everybody hates them.
I like Windows 7 that is on my desktop but I signed up to get Windows 10 for one of my laptops that has Windows 8.1, which I loathe.

Yup. They are downloading it in waves beginning i think tomorrow and going out for several months for those who have reserved a copy. If you reserved it will automatically download to your computer when you are hooked to the internet and it will notify you when the download is complete so you can then install it.

I reserved on a long time ago on my PC but after reading this remembered I had not yet on my Laptop so I just did that...
