Starting an independent pentecostal church
Thoughts? Warnings? Encouragement? Great stories? Fellowship? Dealing with keeping/losing existing friends, and intentional isolation from previous group backslash?

Do it, because why not!?
You will lose maybe all of your church friends. I’m sorry, I mean “friends.”
I’m assuming you’re a married male with children, correct? Bro, protect your family. The people that loved on you for x amount of years will put down the love and pick up pitchforks and torches.

I have the same question.

If you happen to still be reading this forum. Follow what the Lord Jesus Christ has set for you. Psalm 127:1 Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.
Anyone you lose as a "friend" was NEVER your brother in Jesus name.
So, keep in mind that leaving an organization (or fellowship) is a good way to weed out the wicked and expose those who were just glad handers. Brothers are brothers who are supposed to hold fast. I don't mean agree with everything you might do or say. Yet, they will stick with you and be available if you need them
